... and come to the view that existing guides to Britain’s national trails aren’t actually what most walkers need when planning and enjoying their outings.

We’ve gone back to the drawing board: much as we did with our Where to Ski resort guides, we’re taking a simple approach – creating the guides that we would want to use when making our own plans.

We’re starting with the wonderful and very long South West Coast Path. The first two volumes, covering the lovely coasts of Dorset and South Devon, are planned for publication early in 2025, with North Devon and Cornwall following in 2026. Sorry it's such a slow process; that's the way we like it.
