We're registered fans of driving to the Alps, and in particular of driving via the Channel tunnel – the ride from Folkestone takes only 35 minutes, and you're heading south on the autoroute within a few minutes of arrival in Calais. And of course there is no lugging bags and skis around airports, or penal flight charges for carrying them to the Alps.
So it's no surprise that the one Black Friday deal that really caught the editorial eye in the last few days is the discounts LeShuttle is offering. The deal is that you register as a LeShuttle member before midnight on Wednesday 22nd, and on the morning of Friday 24th November you'll receive a discount code by email.
The discount code will be valid for four days, but the cheapest tickets – priced as low as £24 each way – will be limited in number, so you're going to want to hit the booking site as soon as your code arrives. Of course, the key questions are: how limited will that number be, and how low will prices be once those super-bargains have been snapped up? We're waiting for clues from LeShuttle. Regular fares are around £120 each way.
The offer covers travel up to 18 March 2024, excluding (not surprisingly) Christmas/New Year/half-term dates (13/12/23-07/01/24 and 08/02/24-26/02/24). Good luck!
